He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) with the University of Zimbabwe and a Master of Laws in Human Rights Law from the University of Ulster in the United Kingdom obtained in 2001 and 2008 respectively. He was registered as a Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public in 2001. He co-founded Justice for Children, a Legal Aid Organisation in 2002 and worked with it from August 2003.
He specialized in Family Law, Succession Law, Law governing non-state organisations in Zimbabwe and Human Rights Law while with Justice for Children. He has lectured and tutored State Liability and Introduction to Law respectively at the University of Zimbabwe. Due to his work with Justice for Children, Caleb has developed keen research interest in children’s and women’s rights. He has done researches commissioned by and written policy documents for government and civic society organisations. He serves on various Boards for Non-Governmental Organisations, particularly those dealing with women and children. He served as the Vice Chair Person for the Zimbabwe Anti- Domestic Council. He is currently a Councillor for NUST and he chairs the Risk Committee.
Caleb rejoined private practice as a Partner with Machinga Mutandwa Legal Practitioners in 2011. He has developed his interest in litigation, labour law, family law and commercial law. He possesses a wealth of experience and skills in administrative law, constitutional and Human Rights law, commercial law, labour law, conveyancing and notarial practice, family law and civil litigation. He has dealt with international adoptions for clients from, among others, United States of America, Belgium, Austria, Republic of Ireland, and United Kingdom.
