Machinga Mutandwa Legal Practitioners believes that any person accused of breaking the law or found to have broken the law has rights which are now well protected in the Constitution of Zimbabwe (2013). We therefore provide legal advice and representation in criminal matters starting with accompanying persons called by the police, representing them at police stations, visiting and taking instructions from them when in holding cells and prisons, attending to make bail applications, attending remands and trial, making applications for review and appealing against conviction and sentence. We represent person facing criminal charges or convicted in Magistrates Court, High Court, Supreme Court and Constitutional Court. We also make applications for the production of persons arrested and detained by the State. We also provide legal advice and represent persons facing disciplinary proceedings in terms of the Police Act.

The practice values the respect, protection and fulfillment of human rights throughout the criminal justice system. Its Legal Practitioners have been involved in advocacy for reform of the laws and the criminal justice system as well as training of stakeholders such as the police, prosecutors, probation officers and magistrates in Zimbabwe.
